“Important Update: Due to the recent unprovoked, senseless attacks on my beautiful country, Iran, we are currently closing submissions until further notice and refraining from publishing a July issue out of respect and solidarity for my people. This pause in our publication is unprecedented in our 10-year history, but so are these senseless attacks on a country and people who least deserve it. I have always looked to writing as a means of resistance and strength in troubled times, a means to give voice to the voiceless, but I also cannot in good conscience ignore what is going on before our eyes and have it just be business as usual. I hope our wonderful subscribers will understand. From the bottom of my heart, I pray this will all be over soon — and not just this, but tyranny, genocide, and war everywhere in this world — and that we may be able to bring you beautiful writing again soon.
